MBE FIRM SECURES MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR CONTRACT WITH CITY OF BALTIMORE

On Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at the City’s Board of Estimates meeting, dEVNIX Data Management continued to bridge the technological divide by securing a lucrative contract with Baltimore City. Sources indicate that dEVNIX will provide IT services for several agencies throughout the City’s infrastructure. The City Wide Network and System Support bid was awarded to Digicon Corporation, dEVNIX, Applied Technology Services (ATS), and Early Morning Software (EMS). The award was announced and approved.

So, what did Coates, the ever-charismatic 6 foot 3 and always dapper young exec have to say about the recent award?

In an exclusive interview with BMORENEWS.com, Coates stated, "Team dEVNIX has strategically partnered with Digicon and EMS so as to provide the City of Baltimore with optimum information assurance solutions."

Well aware of the responsibilities that come with the deal, Coates said, "It is the goal of dEVNIX to assure the City of Baltimore that it’s chosen IT provider will deliver on-time solutions along with a complete array of IT services."

No stranger to politics, Coates knows all too well the significance of this year’s election. Even more, he is very knowledgeable about the need for political leaders to push the envelope for small and minority businesses.

With this in mind, Coates said, "It is clear to see that the city is making a solid attempt to help build healthy minority businesses."

Coates credits Mayor/Governor-elect Martin O’Malley and other City officials with having continued the push to increase minority business participation on all levels.

He added, "dEVNIX looks forward to continuing to build relationships with entities such as the City of Baltimore."

Also on dEVNIX’s Executive Team are Jevon Spivey, the CTO, and Brett McAlily, Esquire, the President and COO.
